San José Community
The San Jose Community was born following the steps of Fr. Judge and his work with the Italian immigrants in the early 1900s. In 2000, several priests created the “Latino Family Evening,” where typical dishes were served, and cultural and educational presentations were made representing the various peoples from Mexico and Latin America. Today, the community welcomes our brothers and sisters migrating from Latin America, offering spiritual, moral, and physical support to encourage personal growth and greater integration into their new life. The San Jose Community gathers each Sunday for Liturgy at 9:45 am in the Auditorium, 11:45 am in the Chapel, and 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings. Devotional prayer is offered in Spanish on the 1st Sunday at 6:00 pm. Sacramental preparation, spiritual direction, retreats, and other programs are offered throughout the year. Many celebrations occur (i.e., The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe) throughout the year. The Shrine has been blessed to minister to and alongside this beautiful vibrant community. All are invited to share in all the offerings.

Emmaus Christian Community
Please click here for more information!
Emmaus Christian Catholic Community is an open and welcoming Intentional Eucharistic Community in the spirit of the Second Vatican Council and modeled on Pope John XXIII’s spirit of acceptance and inquiry. By intentional we mean that people attend because they choose to do so, rather than because they live nearby.
We are also an inclusive Eucharistic-centered community where all are welcome at our table.
We are lay-run with members assuming responsibility for planning our Sunday worship service, managing our own finances, and implementing our social action agenda. We believe working together allows us to put our faith into action and forms bonds of genuine caring and concern for each other. Our activities are coordinated by a Guiding Council elected from the membership.
